Upper Merion Township Library in partnership with GSEP Troop 7940 is proud to present 

Upper Merion Martin Luther King  Community Day Of Service on

Monday, January 16 from 9am to 12 noon in Freedom Hall. 

 Walks-ins are welcome

 

As we prepare to honor the legacy of civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr., it is important to remember the
third Monday in January isn’t a day off, but “a day on” to volunteer and give back to our communities and
causes that matter. In fact, it is the only federal holiday that calls for a day of service. Join Girl Scout Troop
#7940 MLK Day of Service. All ages are welcome Come for an hour or stay for the entire event!
Volunteer stations: Make art bags for CHOP patients, write letters for veterans, make dog toys for shelter
animals, organize blessing bags for homeless, make bird feeders for local wildlife, decorate Meals on Wheels
bags, repurpose donated jeans to shoes for Ugandan children, signups- future volunteer opportunities !
Donations accepted: Community Cupboard food, feminine hygiene products for high school , and Ukraine
supplies
*Free Commemorative MLK Day of Service T-shirt for each participant while supplies last!*
