For those in grades 5-8:

This is an informative and interactive drawing lesson led by special guest Jason D. Rodriguez!

Learn how to draw during this special 2-hour session, where guided instruction will be provided with an artist who specializes in comic, manga, and cartoon art. Students will then have a free-draw time where they can chat about art and get individual help from Jason with their drawings.

This program is made available thanks to the Montgomery County Libraries Teen Author/Illustrator Workshops of 2025. 

Jason Rodriguez is a comic illustrator and drawing instructor. He currently teaches drawing to students and adults through group classes and private instruction throughout the greater Philadelphia area. He is also a Marvel sketch card artist for Topps. His love for art came from reading comic and picture books as a kid and now wants everyone to experience the joy of drawing and visual storytelling.
