Scratch September: coding for Middle Schoolers

Scratch September: coding for Middle Schoolers In-Person

For students in 5th-8th grade: come join this 4-week long Scratch coding series on each Friday in September from 4-5pm. Each class will cover a different concept of Scratch code and progress in difficulty each week:

Our “Scratch September” educational classes introduce students to the fundamentals of coding through fun, hands-on projects. Students will learn to create simple games and animations while building problem-solving and creative thinking skills. The class encourages collaboration, experimentation, and playful exploration of ideas. No prior coding experience is needed, just curiosity and enthusiasm!

When you sign up it is for all 4 workshops! Each week will build on what was learned the previous week.

If you have a tablet or laptop, please bring it with you. If not, we will provide you with a library tablet.

Presented by Community Art Resource Education (CARE).
